Accessibility
We work hard to ensure our site is accessible, which means that everybody should be able to use it, regardless of their ability or technology.
The site should work as well on a mobile phone as on a desktop computer. You should be able to find and understand information even if you’re not very confident using digital technology or have an impairment that makes it harder to use.
We aim to meet the Government’s Web Accessibility Standard and Web Usability Standards:
These standards set out essential information that government websites must contain, such as contact information and copyright details, as well as rules for how we must present information.
We are also informed by govt.nz's style and design guide. The guide helps make our website:
- easy to use
- easy to read and understand
- accessible to everyone
- available on any device
- straightforward, human, authoritative and impartial.
